Meet the Breathe Body & Spa Family
Co-Owner / LMT 17096 / Yoga Instructor
Hello I'm De Lisa Van Dyke. I attended Everest Institute in Tigard, OR from 2008-2009 and received my massage therapy license in January 2010.
The whole reason I decided to go to massage school was to get an understanding of the human body so I could attend midwifery school and become the best midwife I could be. I was 5 weeks pregnant when I started massage school and was able to get first hand experience with pregnancy massage. I now specialize in pregnancy massage!
In school, I fell in love with treating the body. The biggest complaint I get from people is neck and shoulder pain. I love reading the body and relieving that pain. I also specialize in therapeutic and deep tissue massage.
Now that I'm a massage therapist and yoga instructor, I've put my dream of becoming a midwife on the back burner because I love what I do! I meet so many people and everyone's needs are different. I can find problem areas that you didn't know existed!
I've been involved in Sources Networking Group since 2014, and McMinnville Chamber of Commerce since 2016.
My goal is to improve your life whether it may be disconnecting from the world for an hour or getting in there and really working you out during yoga.
Everyone NEEDS a massage. It's not a luxury, it's ESSENTIAL! Let me read your body and improve your well-being!

I'm Kelly Van Dyke, I attended Everest University from 2015-2016. I received my massage therapy license April 2016.
My journey that has led me to massage has certainly been unlike anything I've ever experienced. For most of my adult life I've worked jobs I didn't really feel passionately about and that always bothered me. In Summer 2015 I decided I needed to change that. I realized that when I was focused on taking care of others and truly helping them, I always got more invested and enjoyed the work. Before I decided to go to school I had a little bit of knowledge about massage and knew it was something I enjoyed. So I gave an hour long massage, with no training and had an absolute blast! It was like a light bulb went off, and at that moment I knew body work is what I was truly meant to do. Going through school I had incredible instructors that taught me techniques that truly help people. I've learned so much about the body, and really found a passion in that knowledge.
I've been involved in Sources Networking Group since 2016, Young Professionals of Yamhill Valley since 2016, Tunes on Tuesday Facilities Coordinator since 2017 and McMinnville Chamber of Commerce since 2016.
At some point in the very near future I plan start studying for personal training certifications. Sports, fitness and just being active in general are very important parts of my life. What are dreams if we don't chase them and strive to achieve more?
I'm really excited at the thought of knowing on a daily basis I will be helping people, changing lives for the better. Come get a massage, I can't wait to start helping you on your journey!
I'm Katie Day. I attended Everest Institution in Tigard, OR from May 2014 – 2015. I received my massage license in July 2015.
Connecting with others in life about healthy living has always been my passion. Choosing massage therapy as a natural healing process became my calling. It all started after receiving my first professional massage on my 24th Birthday, by De Lisa. I was curious, how one person could make such an impact on my attitude, health and spirit?
My journey began when I left a health food company to follow my dream. I enrolled at Everest for my massage therapy license and soon learned it was much more than touch. I made a personal sacrifice and commitment to stick it out at any cost. I had a positive attitude and stayed in the moment. I engaged the instructors to teach me everything about managing pain, stress, calming the mind, and boosting the spirit. My very first client was in love with my touch, with each compliment regarding my compassion, and understanding of their needs, my confidence grew. Being requested by repeat customers is true affirmation, I love what I do. Since working professionally for about a year at some very well-known and respected spas, it was time for me to seek out an environment less cookie-cutter. Now that im with a company who is progressive in the times, up to date in process, procedures and open to self-expression. Most of all have respect for every client we proudly serve. I am eager to show the community the passion i have to help them heal naturally.
I am involved in some town community events such as, Mayor’s Ball, Turkey Rama, Alien Days and many more. I’m planning on joining McMinnville Chambers of Commerce to be more involved in as well.
I am happy to help with each individual with their natural healing process. Some people tell me, I was born to heal. The secret is to listen! We ALL knead it!
I’m Kayla Shinneman, I graduated from Monterey Peninsula Community College in California, with a degree in Massage Therapy and received my Oregon license in March 2016.
When I first started college I thought I wanted to become a Registered Nurse, and started off as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). I was accepted into an RN program, but a year into it didn’t feel it was quite for me. I was an in-home caregiver for the elderly for six years and truly enjoyed it, as well as built some amazing relationships with families whom I am still in touch with today. As I was soul searching for what I wanted to do with my life, I received my first professional massage and instantly fell in love. I have always had a passion for helping others and my caring nature is felt through my touch.
My ultimate goal is to become a Physical Therapist and I am graduating from Oregon State University in March 2018 with a degree in Kinesiology, Go Beavs! I will be applying to Physical Therapy programs this year, in hopes to start in the fall of 2019. In the meantime, I am enjoying every bit of massage and all the wonderful benefits it provides. Being able to deliver relaxation and a temporary escape from reality to a client, absolutely makes my day. I love when someone leaves feeling like a whole new person.
Allow me to create a therapeutic session tailored to your needs. Combining Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point work, I can help melt away your tension, stress and worries. Take time out of your day for YOU!

Hi. I'm Shawna Ray. I graduated massage therapy at Everest Institute in October of 2016.
I've always known that I was meant to help others and have tried in many ways. As a CNA of 8 years plus, I contemplated going to nursing school as others told me I would excel in that field of work. But my heart wasn't in it. It was when I was going to school to become an EMT, a car accident drove me to experience my first massage. This was my calling...
Amazed by the body's ability to heal itself, let me utilize my expertise to assist this process. Let me listen to your body and your communication, combining it with my clinical education i can provide you with an effective, rejuvenating massage fit YOUR needs.
I enjoy focusing on the head, neck and shoulders, and specialize in deep tissue with incorporation of passive stretching, Swedish, trigger point and myofascial release for all those troubled areas. Book an appointment and let's get you back to self healing.

Hi my name is Suzi. I was a caregiver for around seven years. Using my body every day to care for the elderly has really opened my eyes to the importance of self care. I started this yoga journey in November 2017 by attending a YogaFit Level 1 Teacher Training in Newberg, OR at All People Yoga. That training opened my eyes to this world and I have been self studying ever since. Gentle Chair yoga is a way for me to stay connected with my past residence and it has brought a new challenge for me with new clients. Right now I’m focusing on helping a client with Fibromyalgia and planning on taking more classes to truly make a difference. I’m also the receptionist at Breathe Thursday - Saturday so I setup people or groups for foot soaks and take care of the daycare room. Whatever you need, I would love to help out. Please join me for a more gentle yoga on Mondays and Wednesdays.
